NedZink invests in solar energy!

 In News

Greening one’s own energy consumption by installing solar panels, that is what has been taking place in recent weeks at NedZink in Budel-Dorplein. Now that the expansion of the warehouse is almost complete, Oranjedak in collaboration with Solaris has installed 2,950 solar panels on the roof of the warehouse and service center. A second phase will follow end 2019 when another 630 panels will be placed on a new to be built production hall.

In total, 1 million kilowatt-hours of solar energy will be generated annually, which corresponds to the power consumption of 400 households.

Solar energy is one of the cleanest energy sources when it comes to CO2 emissions. NedZink will become even greener, partly through its own generation of energy, but also through the electrification of the production process when large gas consumers will be converted to electrical. Zinc, a very sustainable building metal that is produced in a sustainable way!
