NedZink NATUREL

Durable, easthetic and maintenance-free building material. Predominantly used where a natural, vivid look and a long lifespan are required.

NedZink NEO

Process produced pre-weathered titanium zinc with a matte, subtle brushed surface in a mineral grey colour.

NedZink NOVA

Process produced pre-weathered titanium zinc with a matte, subtle brushed surface in a natural medium-grey colour.

NedZink NOIR

Process produced pre-weathered titanium zinc in an anthracite black colour. When a uniform dark surface is preferred from the start.

NedZink PRO-TEC

Titanium zinc with a protective coating on the backside for application on either cold or damp-proof constructions. The protective layer protects the zinc against the effects of water vapor and other substances.

NedZink NOVA COMPOSITE

A stiff and flat panel with a LDPE core combined with 2 layers of NedZink NOVA for cladding application.

NedZink NUANCE Red

Pre-weathered titanium zinc with a red colour nuance. Mainly used for aesthetically high quality building applications: outside for roofs and façades or inside for various design applications.

NedZink produces titanium zinc in accordance with EN988, an alloy based on electrolytically pure zinc with a purity of at least 99.995% Zn (Z1 in accordance with EN 1179) with small additions of the alloy elements copper, titanium and aluminium.

NedZink roof for Hasselt City Hall

In terms of sustainability the City of Hasselt went much further than the legal norm. This also applied to the renovation work. Therefore, a durable, titanium zinc roof for the former gendarmerie barracks was a logical choice. Ridder Skins for Buildings recommended pre-weathered NedZink NOVA. The new city offices consist of a new construction comprising seven floors and the renovated former gendarmerie barracks.

The sloping roofs of the former gendarmerie barracks are all fitted with a NedZink NOVA standing seam covering. “The standing seam

covering spans a total of 1,300 m2. We also used NedZink NOVA “for eighteen dormer windows, seven oeil-de boeuf windows and over 900 linear metres of guttering,” summarises Van Lamoen from Ridder Skins for Buildings. One very unique aspect of this project is that the zinc roof structure is visible from several angles. Not only can the stunning roof be admired from the adjacent buildings, the NedZink NOVA is regularly reflected by the oblique mirror wall of the new construction, one of the eye-catching elements of Hasselt City Hall’s design. “The client is absolutely thrilled with the end result,” concludes Van Lamoen.
“Stairwell acquires prestige with NedZink NOIR”

Architect Johan van der Rijt from Compen Architecten in Eindhoven is adamant: NedZink NOIR affords the connecting stairwell between two newly-joined residential blocks in Brabant’s Sint-Oedenrode a certain prestige. The vertical NedZink NOIR sheets – expertly processed into a curved, ventilated wooden support structure by the zinc master Ridder Skins for Buildings from Zwaag – constitute a well-thought-out choice by the Eindhoven architectural firm. “The stairwell links the two brick apartment complexes. Remarkably, all the homes were constructed sustainably and benefit from a zero EPC value. This is enhanced by a natural and ‘living’ material like NedZink NOIR.

Moreover, the dark glow of the zinc creates a beautiful aesthetic contrast with the brown tones of the two heavier volumes of the brick residential units. After passing through the glass entrance and the zinc space, residents truly feel at home.”
Coloured titanium zinc adorns Olympic train station

A NedZink roof in a warm, red hue adorns the station building of the high-speed train between Wonju and Gangneung in South Korea. The design, by the Korean architectural firm Suh-Han Architects & Engineers Inc., is characterised by the rounded, curved forms typical of this region, constructed from a combination of metal, glass, and natural stone. The architect chose NUANCE Red from the NedZink Titanium zinc product portfolio for the curved roof. The 3,800-m² zinc roof is very subtle and inconspicuous because of the exclusive, discreet, warm look afforded by its red hue. On coils NedZink supplied the NUANCE Red material via its Asian agent JK Tech GMN to roof and

façade specialist HeungSung Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd in Seoul. A roll former was subsequently used at the construction site to produce slightly curved profiled sheets, measuring 450 millimetres wide and 25 metres long, from the coils. A crane was used to hoist the sheets onto the roof, where they were secured with clips to the trapezium-shaped, damp-proof support structure.

The double sports hall in the southern part of Stuttgart was opened in September 2018, right on time for the start of the new school year. Durable and innovative building materials played a major role in plans for this project. The NedZink NOVA pre-weathered titanium zinc roof is also durable and visually integrated in the environment. The high quality titanium zinc optimally satisfies building regulations and was processed to produce individual profiles. The large lozenges (ca 600 x 400 mm) provide the building with a scalelike cladding to protect it from the effects of the weather. The lozenges were specially produced for this project by the artisan firm T+H Ackermann Metalldachtechnik

GmbH from Nürtingen, which installed them on the saw-tooth roof at diverse roof angles. The valley construction, with varying slopes, was adjusted on site. The ventilated roof construction is highly advanced in technical terms. The NedZink NOVA lozenges(1 mm thick) were installed on rough timber boarding (24 mm thick) with an intermediate layer comprising a breathable, water-resistant membrane with a polyamide mat.
